Screencasts

A screencast is a video recording of what is being shown on your computer screen. You can also record a voiceover for the screencast or the audio from your computer. The output typically consists of short videos, which are used as instructions and presentations for use before, during and after classes.

Screencast'O'Matic

 

To get access to Screencast-O-Matic, you must contact ITLC and request access.

ITLC will send you a password. You can then:

  1. Download the desktop app here: https://screencast-o-matic.com/download
  2. Run the installer
  3. Click the “I have a Team plan” button
  4. Enter this Access url: unicph
  5. Enter Password you’ve been given

 

Videos recorded with SOM are by default stored here C:\Users\KU-username\AppData\Local\Screencast-O-Matic\Recordings. You mus replace KU-username with your username like abc123. It is possible to change to another folder.
